After 15 years of traveling and preaching the gospel, the Lord has changed my direction. As of January 2nd, 2008 I am the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Trinity, Alabama. In case you're wondering, that is the church we have been a members of for the past 14 years. After much prayer, me and my family agreed that God was leading us to take this opportunity. I am as surprised as anyone. I had thought the opportunity would come, but I never really thought things would work out as they have. I have absolute confidence that this is the will of God for me. I ask that you pray for me as I take this new step of faith.
Since 1993, God has blessed me as I have traveled from church to church preaching in revival meetings, evangelism conferences, youth retreats, and other evangelistic events. In many ways I will miss going into a new church each week and meeting new people...and seeing people saved in revival meetings. It's been an adventure. Thankfully, Trinity Baptist understands my heart when it comes to revival preaching. They have given me the freedom to remain active in revival and conference work preaching a limited schedule. Proverbs 3:6 has been my life verse. "In all thy ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct thy paths." In this new endeavor, I have acknowledged him and he is directing me.
